Transportation: A bus will run to and from camp each day. If you are riding the bus to camp, please be at one of the stops listed below before the indicated time.

NOTE: If your daughter is not riding the bus or misses the bus, you must provide your own transportation. PA's coming Sunday and staying for the special event Thursday evening will also provide your own transportation.
Camp –provided Meals:*Lunch will now be provided on the first day!!* All meals and snacks will be provided for campers and staff including Tuesday lunch.
Daily Equipment: Please mark all items your daughter brings to camp to minimize the Lost and Found. Bring everyday:

rain gear. The weather is unpredictable and there is nothing more miserable than a wet, soggy scout.

Please send water shoes that the girls can use throughout the week. You will be going in the creek, so you need either water shoes or old sneakers. NO FLIP FLOPS!

Please send the girls with extra clothes/shoes as they will have opportunities to get wet and dirty.

There are shower facilities so please send towel, washcloth, soap and please label everything!!

Thunderboomer Service Project: This year’s service project is to collect pennies and change for Kelsey’s Dream. If you are able, please send your collected change with your child to be collected during the week. See Service Project Page.
Directions to Camp:
Take Route 45 West past Hartleton to Fairground Road (road to West End Fair)
Turn Left onto Fairground road and follow to Route 235.
Turn Left onto Route 235 and follow through Laurelton and Glen Iron until you come to the intersection with Creek Road. Turn right onto Creek Road and follow until you get to Trail End Road. Bear left and go across the bridge and turn right onto Thomas Dam Road. Follow until you see the parking lot on the left. Walk up driveway to dining hall for directions.

Lost and Found: Lost and found items will be kept in the dining hall during camp and by the Camp Director for a short time after camp ends. They may be claimed by calling Alisha Kurtz (716-2880). If not claimed, items will then be donated to charity. If labeled, you will be contacted.
Health Statement: There will be a nurse on staff to handle any emergencies or to dispense medications. If your child needs to have any medication given while at camp, please label it with your child’s name and all instructions and have your child give it to the camp nurse upon arrival. Health forms must be completed for all girl scouts, adults, and tag-a-longs. Please return the enclosed health forms to Alisha Kurtz ( 1160 Moll Rd., Mifflinburg, PA 17844).
Cancellation: Should it be necessary to cancel camp, announcements will be made on the Lewisburg and Mifflinburg radio stations.
Refunds: Refunds are at the discretion of the camp director and are only based upon health and other emergencies.
Valuables: Do not send items to camp which cannot be replaced. Please do not wear earrings or other jewelry. Neither Thunderboomer Staff, nor Girl Scout in the Heart of Pennsylvania Council are responsible for loss of personal property.
Badges: Each unit will be earning 2 or more badges during their week of camp. Forms will be sent home with your daughter to notify her troop leader of the badges earned at camp so that she may receive them in the fall.
